Thank you again for your patience as I continue working to make this website a welcoming and helpful place for you to grow in Christ and connect with others.
I know what it is like to carry deep wounds, painful memories, rejection, childhood abuse, grief, and years of believing lies about my worth and identity. I trust God, but I still experience struggles. Struggling does not mean that God has abandoned us. Often, it becomes the very place where He draws us closer, teaches us to depend on Him, and reveals His truth more deeply.
God has prepared me for this ministry through personal suffering, healing, biblical study, spiritual formation, and years of learning to follow Jesus through every season of life. My experiences allow me to speak with compassion and honesty, while my theological education helps me teach God’s Word carefully and faithfully. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Christian Leadership with an emphasis in Spiritual Formation, with an anticipated graduation in 2027.
God also used two important men to lead me closer to Him. My husband, Joseph Johnson, who passed away in 2024, helped lead me to salvation and encouraged my relationship with Jesus Christ. Later, Pastor Joseph Pedroza challenged me to read the New Testament and helped begin the process of changing how I understood God. Through their influence, God opened my heart to His Word and began preparing me for the ministry you see today.
My hope is that this website helps you recognize God’s truth instead of believing Satan’s lies. Healing and spiritual growth are not easy, but they are worth every step because Jesus walks with us throughout the journey.
As I study God’s Word, one question continually guides my life, my ministry, and everything I write:
What Did Jesus Do?
When we look at how Jesus loved, taught, forgave, served, prayed, suffered, welcomed the rejected, and walked alongside the broken, we discover both the heart of God and the pattern He calls us to follow. This ministry is built upon studying what Jesus did, understanding what His life and teachings reveal, and applying His example to our own spiritual formation and daily lives.
God never gave up on me. He pursued me, protected me, and patiently led me into the truth of who I am in Jesus Christ. By His grace, He has taken my story of pain, rejection, abuse, grief, and restoration and transformed it into a ministry of compassion, hope, biblical teaching, and discipleship.
My desire is to point others to Jesus Christ—the One who heals the brokenhearted, restores hope, renews our identity, and gives new purpose as his servant of God christie
As you explore this ministry, my prayer is that you will discover that your wounds do not define you, your struggles do not disqualify you, and the lies spoken over your life do not have the final word. God’s truth does. He is still writing your story.
Whether you are taking your first step toward Jesus or have walked with Him for many years, I pray these resources help you know Him more deeply, understand what He did, follow His example more faithfully, and experience His transforming work in your life.
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

My Story: From Brokenness to God’s Hope
Written immediately following the events of July 19–24, 2026, Continue the Journey is a Bible study series born out of one of the most difficult weeks of my life. As Jesus Christ faithfully met me through His Word, these studies became a record of the Scriptures He used to renew my mind, strengthen my faith, and draw me back to Himself.
My prayer is that as you study these Psalms, you will recognize God’s faithfulness in your own life, grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ, and be encouraged to continue your journey with Him.

From Brokenness to Purpose
A Journey of God's Grace, Healing, and Calling

Brokenness • Healing • Purpose
If God can transform my life by His grace, He can bring healing, restoration, and new purpose to yours as well.
Perhaps you'll discover that He has been writing your story all along, too.
On this page, you will discover the story God has been writing throughout my life—a journey from brokenness to healing, from pain to purpose, and from despair to hope. As you read about my testimony, God’s calling on my life, the ministry He has entrusted to me, and the lessons He has taught me along the way, my prayer is that you will be encouraged to trust Him with your own story.
"I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord."
Psalm 40:1–3 (NLT)
My Christian Statement of faith
My faith is centered on Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who alone offers forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life. I believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It reveals His truth and provides the foundation for faith, spiritual growth, and daily living (2 Timothy 3:16–17; John 14:6).
I believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone—not through human effort or good works (Ephesians 2:8–9). Through His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ redeems, restores, and transforms all who place their trust in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17).
I believe the Holy Spirit lives within every believer, guiding, teaching, convicting, comforting, and empowering us to grow in the likeness of Christ. Spiritual formation is a lifelong journey of surrender, obedience, and dependence upon God as He transforms our hearts and lives from the inside out (John 14:26; Romans 12:2; Galatians 5:22–23).
I believe every person is created in the image of God and deeply loved by Him. No life is beyond the reach of His redeeming grace. Through Christ, broken hearts can experience healing, hope can be restored, and lives can be transformed for His glory (Psalm 147:3; Psalm 34:18).
I believe God calls every follower of Jesus Christ to love Him wholeheartedly, love others sacrificially, make disciples, and faithfully share the hope of the Gospel with compassion, humility, and truth (Matthew 22:37–40; Matthew 28:19–20).
My desire is simple: to faithfully follow Jesus Christ, proclaim His unchanging truth, and walk alongside others as they discover the healing, hope, identity, and purpose found only in Him. Everything I write, teach, and share through this ministry is rooted in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit, with the purpose of pointing every heart to Christ. My prayer is that every message, resource, and conversation will encourage spiritual growth, strengthen faith, and inspire people today and in future generations to know Christ more deeply, trust Him more fully, and experience the transforming power of His love and grace.
How God Speaks Through Me in my Christian Statement of Faith
God has called me to share His Word with honesty, compassion, and boldness. He uses my voice, testimony, writing, prayers, and personal experiences to encourage those who feel broken, weary, rejected, or uncertain about where they belong.
God often draws my attention to His truth through Scripture, sermons, songs, movies, conversations, and everyday moments. Through these experiences, He helps me recognize the struggles people are facing and the biblical truth they may need to hear.
My desire is to faithfully communicate God’s unchanging Word in a way that people today and in future generations can understand, receive, and apply to their lives. In everything I share, my purpose is to point others back to Jesus Christ—His love, His healing, His hope, and His transforming power.
My Commitment Through This Ministry
By God’s grace, I commit to:
Proclaim Jesus Christ faithfully by teaching God’s Word with biblical truth, humility, compassion, and integrity (2 Timothy 4:2).
Walk alongside those who are broken and spiritually weary by offering encouragement, prayer, discipleship, and the hope found in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 1:3–4).
Encourage lifelong spiritual formation by helping others grow in their relationship with Christ through Scripture, prayer, surrender, obedience, and dependence upon the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:2; John 15:5).
Provide Christ-centered resources that equip believers to strengthen their faith, understand their identity in Christ, and live according to God’s purpose for their lives (Ephesians 2:10).
Honor God in everything I share by ensuring that this ministry always points people to Jesus Christ rather than to myself, so that He alone receives the glory (Colossians 3:17; Matthew 5:16).
Explore My Story
Explore the different chapters of my journey with Christ by selecting a category below. Each section contains personal testimonies, reflections, and ministry writings that reveal God’s faithfulness throughout my life. Here, you will discover how Jesus rescued, healed, and transformed me; the seasons He used to shape my faith; the experiences that prepared me for His calling; and the ongoing work of spiritual formation He continues to accomplish by His grace.
Through my doctoral studies, I came to recognize that much of what God had been doing throughout my life aligns with what Christian scholars describe as lifelong spiritual formation. As Wilhoit (2008) explains, spiritual formation is God’s ongoing work of transforming believers into the likeness of Jesus Christ. Looking back, I can now see how every season of my life—including seasons of both joy and suffering—became part of that formative process. My prayer is that, as you read these stories, you will not only see God’s faithfulness in my life but also be encouraged to trust Him as He continues His transforming work in yours.
“Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
—2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)

Great Commandment: Matthew 22: 37-39
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandmands.
The Great Commandment and the Great Commission are the foundation of my life, my faith, and this ministry. They remind me that my first calling is to love God with all my heart, soul, and mind; to love others with the compassion of Christ; and to faithfully share the hope of the Gospel wherever He leads me.
The Scriptures that follow have guided me through seasons of brokenness, healing, surrender, spiritual growth, and God’s calling on my life. They have strengthened my faith, renewed my mind, and continually directed my heart back to Jesus Christ.
My prayer is that, as you read these passages, the Holy Spirit will encourage your heart, deepen your faith, and draw you into a closer relationship with Christ. May God’s Word become your foundation, your strength, and your guide as you walk in the purpose He has prepared for you.
1. Surrender and Trust
Proverbs 3:5–6 (NLT)
Why This Scripture Matters to Me:
This passage reminds me to surrender every part of my life to God, trust His wisdom above my own, and follow His direction one step at a time.
2. Identity and Transformation
Romans 12:1–2 (NLT)
Why This Scripture Matters to Me:
These verses continually remind me that true transformation begins with a surrendered heart and a renewed mind as the Holy Spirit shapes me into the person God created me to be.
3. Abiding in Christ
John 15:4–5 (NLT)
Why This Scripture Matters to Me:
This passage keeps me grounded in the truth that I cannot fulfill God’s calling in my own strength. Every part of my life and ministry must remain connected to Jesus Christ.
As you continue exploring this ministry, my prayer is that you will not simply learn about my journey—you will encounter Jesus in your own. May His Word strengthen your faith, His Spirit transform your heart, and His love lead you into the healing, hope, identity, and purpose found only in Him.
If these writings have encouraged you, I invite you to continue exploring the resources throughout this website.
